Isn't music magical? I can't stick to one genre.
In the late '70s I was mostly surfing a kind of new wave, in consecutive bands blatantly failing to conceal that all of their members also listened to Yes and Zappa as well. Throughout the decades that followed, I first bounced from mainstream rock to jazz-funk and a quartet wishing to be Radiohead; I then soared through poppy adventures and touched down—no kidding—in a Pink Floyd tribute band that I would be leading for four years. I still managed to surprise myself and everyone else, releasing in 2016 an album of alternative kids' songs. It received some very nice reviews and sold rather well.
All that time, I was also writing songs—within bands, apart from them, or in-between. First in English, later in Dutch. And did I mention my Dutch translations?

After months of digging, I had a wheelbarrow filled with gold: gorgeous songs, all addressing the rich subject of time.
For this theme show-to-be, I translated gems from five decades of pop history. So, yes: Dutch again. The whole project got pushed to the shoulder, though. My writing for children got the upper hand.
But let me tell you: someday, with the right band (The Pause), I'll be bringing those songs to the stage.
